Journey
Before turning VC, Rahul founded Treebo Hotels in 2015. Treebo pioneered the unique tech enabled franchising model in hospitality and is known for delivering the best guest experience in the segment. Counting the likes of Matrix and Accor Hotels as investors, Treebo has become one of the largest hotel chains in the country. Prior to Treebo, Rahul was briefly at Myntra where he led the Strategy team and worked closely with the founder CEO. Rahul has spent his early years at McKinsey in the firm's Delhi and London offices where he worked with clients across Telecom, Media, Technology, Logistics and Sports. Rahul is passionate about helping India become a sporting powerhouse and spends time advising Olympic Gold Quest (OGQ), a non profit founded and led by some of the best Indian sportspersons. Rahul believes deeply in the OGQ tagline - 'It takes only 6 grams of gold to lift the worth of a nation'. Rahul holds an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, a B.Tech. from IIT Roorkee and he attended the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) in Dehradun in his formative years. When not playing dad to two cheeky rascals, Rahul can be found running long distances, supporting Man United or climbing a mountain
